Post show feels

It's been a few weeks now and it feels both sad and amazing.

The gallery really put my career as an artist into perspective for me. Seeing your work up on gallery walls, with red dots and didactics and then people wandering through the space... It really is amazing. I've never felt so humble but also, admittedly, so proud.

Claire and I have had our first BIG exhibition together and something has just clicked into place. The night saw us both make nearly exactly the same in sales which was really heartening and also reassuring that our works have their own, equally viable markets.

Also, a HUGE thank you to Corner Block Studios. They lent us nearly 40 frames to hang our pieces on the night and really helped the show look professional and unique. We couldn't have done it without them and loved working with them. Check them out on instagram!

Outcomes.

Three commissions! I can't spill any beans, but I got two commissions and a quote request from friends and family for jobs that will continue over the next few months which was amazing!

First sale of an original work (outside of a commission). My Lobster sold the day after opening to a dear friend, though one who I hadn't seen in a long time. It was a big investment for her and a big moment for me. Hugs all round!

Business connection! Again, I can't spill any beans as it is a project that hasn't yet launched, but something big, involving a gallery curator and owner from London, will be announced by the end of the year! I am SUPER thrilled and honoured to be a part of the project.

Watch this space.
