You've had a play with clay, you want to finish off your pieces or get them glazed for a show, for gifts or just for your own enjoyment - I've got a kiln you can hire to take the next step along the making journey.
As you probably already know, firing pottery can be a risky business with cracks, explosions, glaze runs and all sorts, so there's a bit of admin to sort out before you can drop your work off. Get in touch and I'll send you all the info you need but keep reading below for pricing and basic info.

At this time, YES I am taking wild clay in this kiln but there'll be a few caveats like drip trays and melt tests.

The turnaround is typically 2-3 days from dropping off your pots. I will monitor all firings and let you know when you can collect your work. There'll be timing and storage limits.

My kiln can do various programmes of firing so if you need something specific like a soak, specific ramp schedule or temperature then let me know in advance.

Max temp is 1220°C.

Earthenware and stoneware are accepted.
PRICES
I will load and monitor all kiln firings but you are welcome to be with me during the loading process or do it yourself with me present to ensure the safety of all your pots and the kiln itself.
The price breakdown is below but please also be aware that a part of the hire contract will be a liability acceptance in case of any damages to the kiln as a result of your work. All the forms and prices will be sent to you upon your booking request.
Partial Hire - BISQUE
You've got some pots, maybe just half a kiln's worth and don't want to wait to fill a whole kiln. I can fire your bisque alongside mine or someone elses.
£10 per shelf.
Full Kiln Hire - BISQUE
You've got a lot of pots and can fill a whole kiln. Typically 50 medium/small pots.
£25
Partial Hire - GLAZE
You've got some pots, maybe just half a kiln's worth and don't want to wait to fill a whole kiln. I can fire your glazed work alongside mine or someone elses.
£18 per shelf.
Full Kiln Hire - GLAZE
You've got a lot of pots and can fill a whole kiln. Depends on how many pots you have and what shape and size they are - we'll try fit them all in!

Per Pot Hire - bisque/glaze
It might be the least efficient hire but it's always an option. Prices vary on the size of the piece you want to fire.
